The Story
When I first fell in love with photography, I vividly remember working at a camera store where I spent my days printing family photos from disposable cameras. At first, it was simply a job, but over time, something changed. I found myself becoming genuinely moved by the photographs people brought in.
There was something special about looking through someone else’s memories. Even though I wasn’t there when the photos were taken, I could almost feel like I was—experiencing the laughter, the little moments, the celebrations, and the people they loved, all through a single photograph.
It also brought me back to my own childhood. I remember looking through my family’s old photos—the grainy images, the imperfect colors, the little imperfections that somehow made them feel even more real. They had that beautiful, nostalgic quality that made you feel something. They weren’t perfect, but they were ours. They were memories.
When I picked up my first camera at the age of eighteen, I knew I wanted to recreate that feeling. I wanted to capture photographs that felt timeless and nostalgic, but with a modern touch—images that tell a story and bring you right back to a moment in time.
When I’m not photographing other families, you’ll often find me taking photos of my daughter as she plays, runs around the park, or simply enjoys being a kid. I love documenting the everyday moments of our family and, more importantly, printing those memories so they don’t just live on a screen. I want my daughter to one day have photo albums she can flip through, just like I did growing up.
Because memories are timeless. Sometimes they’re found in the biggest celebrations, and sometimes they’re as simple as an afternoon at the park.
If this resonates with you, I’d love the opportunity to document those moments with your family—creating photographs you can look back on for years to come.
